Jakarta, CNN Indonesia -- Pasangan ganda campuran Indonesia, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir, tidak menemukan kesulitan pada pertandingan pertama mereka di Olimpiade 2016. Mereka mengalahkan pasangan Australia Robin Middleton/Leanne Choo dalam dua gim, Kamis (11/8).
Tontowi/Liliyana menguasai gim pertama. Unggul cepat, mereka menutup gim dengan skor 21-7.
Pasangan ganda campuran peringkat ketiga dunia itu melanjutkan tren positif di gim kedua. Mereka mengunci kemenangan dengan skor 21-8. Tontowi/Liliyana hanya membutuhkan 25 menit untuk mengandaskan perlawanan Robin/Leanne.
Pada laga selanjutnya, Jumat (12/8), Tontowi/Liliyana akan berhadapan dengan pasangan Thailand, Bodin Issara/Savitree Amitrapai.
Olimpiade Brasil merupakan perhelatan olimpade kedua bagi Tontowi/Liliyana. Di London, empat tahun lalu, mereka gagal meraih medali setelah kalah di perebutan medali perunggu dari pasangan Denmark, Joachim Fischer/Christina Pedersen.
